December 22, 2019: Four Months
Hi Paxton,
My cute little elf! You and Ari have matching Christmas PJs and I may or may not put you in them as often as possible. We’ve had fun with Christmas celebrations this year. Tomorrow marks one year since we discovered your impending arrival and what a year it’s been! In some ways it’s flown by but in others, it crawled. It’s funny how time does that.
You continue to be more and more interested in your big sister and she still doesn’t waver in her love for you. When I need an extra few minutes, I can usually send her in to distract you. It’s a really helpful strategy until she’s at preschool and it’s all up to me!
You still look identical to your dad; he must have been the cutest baby around! Your cradle cap is intense unless Ari and I give you the spa treatment every day. You also have decided you don’t like the bottle after you had done so well with it. Listen here Bud, you’ve got nine days to get it figured out because you’re staying with Nonny and Poppy for New Years, ok?
Last week you made your first trip to Knoxville to meet all the family who could only wave to you at Aunt Z’s wedding. You and Ari had lots of fun with Juliet, Weston, Lily, Ezekiel, Malachi, and Mayme Jo. Both Gram and Grandmother got some Pax snuggles while we were there.
You’re crushing tummy time and you really like to lay on your back in the living room and look at the Christmas tree lights. Somehow I have a feeling that you’ll be destroying the tree next year. You’re quickly outgrowing your swing because you’re pretty close to squirming your way out.
The upcoming month will feature your first Christmas celebrations with the Hoots family and Pierce family. You also get your first sleepover with Nonny and Poppy. Make sure you make it a good one so you can have more, ok?
