How fitting is it that we found out the gender of our baby on the first day of summer? We were lucky enough to get the doctor’s office to agree to do our ultrasound appointment a few days early. {I was 18 weeks on Sunday so it normally would have been done some time this week, but since we’re at the beach they agreed to move it up a few days.}
After the ultrasound tech mashed on my stomach for 30 minutes, we took the envelope to a friend’s house so she could wrap a onesie for us to open up. {Bonus: we got to hang out with her adorable two year-old in the process!}
When we got home, we tore into it pretty quickly. I was shocked to find out that Baby Hoots is a girl! Everyone had been predicting boy so I think my mind started going in that direction but I’m thrilled to find out we’re going in the girl direction.
We told Dave’s parents on our way out of town and revealed to my family on our first night at the beach.
