When you get home from a jam-packed family weekend at 10pm on Sunday evening, the post goes up a little late. #reallife
After work on Friday, we headed to Gatlinburg, TN where I’ve spent so many weekends in the last two decades. This was our farewell to the cabin and it was a quick stay but a fun one.
Saturday morning, we packed up for Knoxville to see Gram, Aunt Sue, Lish, Tai and Buzz. We ate a delicious lunch and finished up the party favors. Saturday evening, we headed to Aunt Janice’s house for a cookout to celebrate Grandmother’s birthday. We played cornhole and the cutest little kids you’ve ever seen put on their new swimsuits and splashed in the pool. It was so fun to catch up with the cousins!
On Sunday, we enjoyed sleeping in before heading to two parties to celebrate Gram’s 80th. {Yes, she threw herself two parties! #likeaboss} The first was brunch at a restaurant with tons of delicious food. Seriously, the best french toast I’ve ever had. The second was an “open house party” for her neighbors.
After Zaxby’s, we made our way back to North Carolina. What a great weekend in Tennessee enjoying our extended family.
