After last week’s disappearance from bloggy blog land, I’m hoping to show my face a little more this week. Last Sunday evening I started feeling a little rough and by Monday morning, it was much worse. It was one of those things I couldn’t get rid of so I pretty much took a week off from life. And I hope to never repeat it. Except that David took really good care of me… thanks Hubby. Here’s to a healthier and more productive week ahead!
Friday evening was filled with takeout and tv shows. How else would you spend Friday night after being sick all week?
On Saturday, David was in a golf tournament so my Mom came to town to do a little crafting. Next weekend we’re headed to Knoxville to celebrate Gram’s 80th so we worked on some really cute favors. I can’t remember the last time Mom and I got to hang out, just the two of us.
That evening, we tried a new ale house in town with some of our favorites. It was a great night full of laughter, corn hole and lots of beer {for the guys}. We always have such a great time with this crew. And when you’re our age and you’re out until 11:30… well that’s rare. #friendsarefamily
We tried to hard to get good pictures but the lighting was terrible. So bad that even Instagram filters couldn’t fix it.
Sundays… I mean should I even write about them? Church, lunch, nap. But since it was Mother’s Day, it was fun to celebrate with David’s mom. And Outback is always delicious. I also did a little clearance shopping at Target. I’m always fascinated when I scroll through social media on a holiday like Mother’s Day. It’s so neat to see everyone’s shoutout to their mom. I wrote a little tribute to mine, too. Happy Mother’s Day to all the wonderful moms who sacrifice every single day for their families!
What’d you do this weekend?
