Holiday sparkle

This look is so simple to put together for a party.  I mean, I’d love to show you some glamorous cocktail dress but lezbehonest, that’s not my party gear.  My group of friends is more like sweaters and flats… we like the practical life.  So, this is one of my favorite looks.

How great is that jacket?  My sister has had it for at least 2 years so getting it back kinda makes it feel like its brand new.  #score

  • I love this outfit because it looks so pulled together but it isn’t too over the top either. It’s just so simple and classic. Plus it seems like it would actually be comfortable at a holiday party… that’s always my issue, I end up in shoes that hurt.. haha :) XO -Alexandra

    • Thank you! it is super comfy. Shoes that hurt are no fun. I’m all about heels as long as I can wear them for short periods of time with little to no walking. If I have to do lots of walking or standing, they’re out of the question!

    Do you consider nail polish a part of fashion? I always struggle in the winter with good colors especially around the holidays. Any suggestions?

    • Yes! You know how I love my nail polish! I’m loving dark green, deep purples and maroons/burgandys. All of these are on my wish list. Two of my favorites for the winter that I use all the time are navy and sparkly brown. Of course red is a classic. You can’t go wrong with any of those!

    • Thanks! I almost wore a different necklace with this outfit and ended up choosing this one at the last second and I think it turned out pretty well. I love how versatile it is.

    • Thank you! That’s my favorite part about this sweater. It’s not over-the-top sequins but it has a little shimmer to it.

  • I love the layered look of that necklace, so pretty! I have my eye on a pearl cluster necklace for my wish list this year, I think they are so versatile and classy. They work just as well with a fancy party dress or a sweater and jeans. That coat is such a fabulous statement piece!
