Hey Sweet Girl,
What a month it’s been… your busiest one so far! You’ve been to Greenville while Dada was at basketball camp, the beach, and then Pigeon Forge with the whole Pierce crew. As usual, you handled it all like a champ.
At the beach, you had a little extra entertainment since your three cousins were there. You loved sitting on the sand and letting the waves wash over your feet. And then you were so mad when you weren’t allowed to eat the sand. I mean, I’m pretty sure you managed to swallow some of it but definitely not as much as you would have liked.
You’re only interested in two types of food: Gerber puffs/melts/anything that dissolves ,and black beans. That’s it. Nothing else is getting put in your mouth no matter what we do. If we’re out at a restaurant, you’re more interested in people watching than eating the food on your tray.
After almost a week at the beach, you came down with your first fever. It was so pitiful to see you so lethargic. We enjoyed the snuggles but were heartbroken for the reason behind them. We came home a day early from the beach and found out it was just a teething issue.
Once your fever broke and you were back to your old self, I could feel the stress leaving my body. I hated seeing you like that. And then that first night of you feeling better, you woke up at 10pm. I assumed your fever was back, so I brought you into our room (which is a privilege only for the sick around here!). You didn’t feel warm and you immediately began (violently) patting my face, crawling to get the monitor, my phone, Dada, and anything else you could see. We quickly figured out you were just fine so you got to spend the rest of the night in your own bed! The good news is you felt better in time to go to the mountains a few days later. There, you got to hang out with more little cousins.
After all that time with little people, you must have felt inspired because you were on a new level of exploring the house when we got home. There are so many things you need to see and touch and put in your mouth. And none of them are your toys. It’s more about Copper’s food, the air vents, the tupperware cabinet, and anything else you can get your hands on.
I love you more than you can image,
Mom

Note: I know, I know. I’m ridiculously behind on these monthly letters. In case you’re wondering why, its because this poor computer is going on 10 years old and it takes an average of 23980234852098 minutes to upload pictures. So I take the pictures and write the letters on time. I just don’t have the patience to sit around and wait on the pictures to upload to the computer and then again to wordpress. One day I’ll get it all together 😉
