Hey Ari Girl,
4 months? How did we get here? I can’t seem to wrap my mind around the fact that in two months we’ll start feeding you real food. In 8 months we’ll be celebrating your first year with us. Time seriously flies.
I can’t believe how much you’re doing now. You love to kick your feet when you’re laying on your back. You love to “fly” with your Daddy. It really makes you laugh when he sings “I Believe I Can Fly” while parading you through the air. You give me some of the sweetest expressions in the middle of feedings. You’re so in tune with what other kids are doing. You’re constantly experimenting with your voice. Your little screams crack us up and the best part is when the cries turn into laughs.
Right now you’re in Daddy’s arms watching the first round of the NCAA tournament {decked out in your Tar Heel gear, of course!} and you’ve been “talking” nonstop. You love to gnaw on your hands and drool everywhere. Last month I wrote that you were teething because there was so much drool but you’ve yet to have any teeth bust through the surface. Between spit-up and drool, my shirts pretty much stay soaking wet and yours do too… hello bib life!
You definitely expect to be entertained more often now. I used to lay you down while I would get things done and you were perfectly content to look around for several minutes at a time. Now, I barely have time to start a load of laundry before you’re ready for something new.
My biggest goal this month was tummy time and you’ve improved so much. While you used to just chew on your fingers, you now look around and have some fun with it. We have multiple tummy times sessions each day and you’re often content for several minutes at a time.
We love watching you grow and develop. And right now you’re giving me the eye, which means you want to eat. So I’m out.
I love you more than you can imagine.
Mom
