Ari,
Hi sweet girl! This morning I rolled over and told your daddy that you were two months old today and he couldn’t believe it! “What?” He kissed you twice before he left and his favorite nickname for you is Beautiful. It just melts my heart the way you two adore each other.
It’s so amazing to me that you’ve only been here two months and yet you’ve changed so much in that short amount of time. Your cries are now noticeably different and my favorite thing is when you get what you wanted but you let out one more cry just to get the last word in. You give me the sweetest smiles every morning and they seem to abound when you’re on your changing table, of all places.
Copper loves to sniff you and lick you and you never seem to mind. It’s so funny to me how you love to sleep where there’s noise. Specifically, basketball games and we’ve carted you to your fair share in two months: MHS games, a Tar Heels game and a Hornets game. One of my goals for this upcoming month is to get you sleeping in your crib. You’re a good sleeper in your swing and your rock & play sleeper, but I haven’t put you in your crib enough.
You spit up everywhere, all the time, on everything and without warning. You typically require at least one wardrobe change each day and sometimes you decide Mommy needs one as well. Your spit-up has proven to freak a few people out {namely, your aunts} and we’ve caught it on video once or twice, too.
Most of the time, you enjoy tummy time and I love to see you interact with other kids. West, Brooke and Gianluca are some of your favorites. Each day is a brand new adventure and I just love seeing you learn and grow. While you used to fall asleep in your car seat every time, you often stay awake now when we buckle you in. I’ve said on more than one occassion, “That’s what big kids do. She can’t be this big yet!”
I love you more than you can imagine,
Mom
