Weekending | Showers 1, 2 and 3

Baby Shower #1

Last weekend, we had lots of family in Greenville, SC to watch Kenzie’s volleyball games on Friday and Saturday.  On Sunday morning, we had planned to go to breakfast with Kaitlyn, Andre, Kenzie and Ryan.  Kaitlyn woke up Sunday morning not feeling well and said she was backing out.  Kenz told me we needed to look cute so we could take a picture but it was raining and preggers over here wasn’t having any of this cute mess.  Instead, I put on a hat.   We came back from breakfast to a surprise baby shower.

Ok, maybe I should listen to Kenzie and put on something else because hat pictures are just not a good look.  You made a valiant effort, Kenz.  Oh, and Kaitlyn wasn’t really sick.  Here I was trying to bring her heating pads and medicine and she was just trying to get me out the door so she could set up all this.

They pulled off a fabulous book shower in celebration of Baby Girl, who now has more books than will even fit on her bookshelf!

Baby Shower #2

And then, this past weekend my friend Sarah hosted a friends and family baby shower for me.  This one I knew about and invited a lot of the same people because I didn’t have any clue that the Greenville one was taking place.  So many people traveled two weekends in a row!

Sarah’s little Brooke stole the show as she helped me open presents and swooned over “baby clothes!”  She’s also not really sure why this baby is hiding and she can’t see her yet.  They threw a fabulous party for Baby Girl and Brooke has promised to teach her everything she knows!

Such a special time with family and friends that we claim as family.

Baby Shower #3

A few ladies at our church threw us a shower on Sunday afternoon and my phone wasn’t invited to the party so the only picture I currently have is the one of this impressive owl cake.

I’m so amazed by people who can craft like that.  It’s too pretty to eat!  Baby Girl sends hugs and shoutouts to everyone who has already prayed for her, loved her and celebrated her!
