Ahhh, the weekends. Don’t you just love them? We were able to have some fun and get some things checked off the list… so that’s pretty much my favorite kind of weekend. I mean, as I type this I’m watching Couples Retreat which is one of my favorite movies of all time. Thank you, Vince Vaughan. Hope you all enjoyed some time off from work.
Friday night was mocktail + takeout night. It was so relaxing and a fun way to start the weekend. Although, if I’m being real… it was a little depressing to be buying all this stuff for fun drinks and knowing they weren’t going to have any of the good stuff in them. {It’s also not helping that every time I type mocktails, my computer is trying to autocorrect it to cocktails. Yes, I get it. No one drinks mocktails.} #thankyoufortheconstantreminder
But, I really should back up a little. Friday morning was a little frustrating – nothing big just a couple of small things made me go uggggh. But my friend at work brought me a Chick-fil-A chicken biscuit. And I really like Chick-fil-A but their breakfast is just on a different level. Oh my gosh, so good! And I may or may not have sent a mean snap to my sister about it – because she didn’t even offer me one when she came for our lake day last Monday.
Saturday morning started off with a cinnamon roll. David always spoils me on the weekends with breakfast in bed but the cinnamon roll was an extra treat. And somehow I forgot to take a picture of it. {Other than what went on snapchat, anyway.}
My recent motto when it comes to actually cleaning the house, has been this ecard:
But I had in my head that it would all change on Saturday because we didn’t have any big plans for the day. Ha, good one. Baby had other ideas so I mostly laid around but I did get some important magazines read. That afternoon, Megan came to hang out and we made dinner and didn’t do much of anything really. I had been wanting to make these potatoes for a long time and finally got around to it. They were delicious. And how great to have friends who don’t care how messy your house is or that your hair is in a greasy ponytail when they arrive at 4pm.
Coppy, just loves when friends come to visit. Especially Megan.
Feeling better on Sunday, I tackled a bunch of things around the house before church. Sunday night we enjoyed a delicious dinner at Outback with some friends. I’m obsessed with Outback french fries.
Blogging fail? Megan and I forgot to take a picture together. Double fail? Our outfits at church color-coordinated without even planning it. Oh well, still a great weekend!
