This was one of those weekends that was a breath of fresh air. And it was so needed. Every single night last week we had something. Which was normal during basketball season and then I had this vision in my head that life was going to slow down immediately. I think God was laughing at me for trying to plan my life out. But this weekend was finally the perfect combination of fun and relaxing. #thankyouJesus
Friday afternoon, Katrina texted me and said we should go shopping. What kind of friend would I be if I turned that down? Twist my arm. And since David had a dance at his school, I watched some TV, relaxed and may or may not have already fallen asleep by the time he got home.
Saturday morning was low key and laid back – like all good Saturday mornings are. I’m pretty sure that the time span from 6am – noon on a Saturday is what makes or breaks a weekend. We did a few things around the house, picked up some groceries and grabbed lunch with David’s parents.
And then we went to Birkdale Village with Katrina and Angelo to do some shopping outside of Charlotte. And when I saw we did some shopping, I mean that the boys moved from one sports bar to the next while we hit up one boutique after the next. Talk about perfection…
My parents were coming through because they had been in Greenville so we watched basketball Saturday night and then got to hang out for a few minutes before they left the next morning.
And here’s what pretty much every Sunday around here looks like – church, lunch, nap, blog. Why change it up if it works?
