Simplicity is so elusive, yet we’re all attempting to grasp it. Here’s my must-have simplify your life list.
1. List it up. Make a list of the things you need to do so you’re not worried about forgetting something.
2. Have a glass of wine.
3. Celebrate victories. But don’t wait until something big happens… celebrate a productive day, a compliment from a coworker, your favorite team’s big win. After all, little victories are victories too.
4. Heyyyy bestie. Talk to your best friend. It’ll make you feel more connected and {hopefully!} make you laugh.
5. Have a glass of wine. Fancy Pants Pinot Grigio is one of my favorites.
6. Clean it up. Go to bed with a clean house; because then you’ll most likely leave for work with a clean house, which means you come home from work with a clean house. Pretty much clean all the time. {I kinda need to take my own advice on this one at the moment.}
7. Establish routines. When you establish routines, you’re making life easier.
8. Have a glass of wine. I love Chianti when I’m drinking red wine.
9. Cut down your get ready time. Use evian facial spray to make your makeup last all day.
As a high school English teacher, basketball coach, student council sponsor, mentor … and a few other things, you could say my days are anything but slow and laid-back. Exactly zero time to reapply or touchup makeup. {Who’s with me?} And some days are 12…14…16 hours. As little as a year and a half ago, my makeup was constantly needing to be reapplied. I would look in the mirror around 10:30 and ahhh! You could barely tell I had put any on that morning. When I found the All in One Face Base from The Body Shop, it changed everything. Suddenly, my makeup stayed on all day. It has good coverage but isn’t heavy.
Step two in the whole make your makeup last thing…
I was really intrigued by this product because it’s a spray that {1} moisturizes your skin pre-makeup, {2} makes your makeup last all day on top of your regular cosmetics, and {3} can even give your hair a boost. You know, for those days when you’re going non-stop and the hair isn’t cooperating.
So after using Evian Facial Spray for a few days, here’s what I’ve noticed. I really like it right after I wash my face. I spray this and then put lotion on top. After I’ve applied my makeup, it helps my makeup last longer; my All in One Face Base already does a great job of lasting all day but I did notice it holding my eyeliner and blush all day long. That’s the best thing about this product – you can continue buying the cosmetics you already love, spray this over it and then watch it last so much longer.
According to their website, Evian Facial Spray can also be used for contouring and making colors {such as eyeshadow} bolder. If you’re into that, I would love to know how it works for you. My eyeshadow colors are limited to neutrals. #boring
Next time you’re at Sephora, grab a bottle and enjoy a variety of uses! Or you can order it directly from their website.
