Happy Friday!
Our area was forecasted to get some snow this week so it’s been nice and low-key around here. And it couldn’t have come at a better time for us. David was able to get a ton of grad school work done without the pressure of working also. I was able to clean the house and get some things rolling on a new project I have in mind for the blog.
In case you missed it, I instagrammed this picture earlier in the week and I’m crazy excited about starting a new adventure on here! More details coming soon.
Here’s how we spent our snow days…
>>Snuggling with Coppy + a little bit of snow in the hair.
>>Eating homemade chex mix + listening to some throwback jamz.
Side note: I can’t listen to that song anymore without hearing Sandra Bullock from The Proposal chanting it with Gammy. #classic
>>David and Coppy napping + hot chocolate with marshmallows.
Snow days feel like so much more of a vacation than days that are scheduled to be off. Because there’s never any plans and it’s the perfect excuse to just cozy up in the house.
Yesterday I wrote about my Rodan + Fields experience and how it can make your skin crazy soft. Kristin wrote about her experience and how it completely changed her skin. If you want a sample sent to your mailbox, send Shannon an email @ SLS5759@aol.com.
Wednesday night was the Carolina/Duke game. We won’t talk about the outcome but can I just tell you about Copper? He was cracking me up the whole time. David yells at the refs, the players, the coaches. Not the whole time but every once in a while. And Copper just stands in the way the entire time and won’t lay down. Usually when we’re watching TV, he’s passed out. Not during the Carolina/Duke game. He just stands there and stares at David. It’s like he knows something is going on but he doesn’t know what.
This whole baked potatoes in the crockpot? How am I just now learning about it? Because it was literally the easiest thing I’ve ever done. I just thought I would try it out to see if it worked. Sometimes I’d rather come home and have dinner within 15 minutes of walking in the door instead of having to wait an hour for the potatoes to cook. Genius. I’ll be using this one all the time.
This faux leather jacket is ridiculously warm. I love it.
Also. How do people make these selfie outfit pix look good?
I’m off to Greenville, SC to hang out with Kaitlyn this weekend. We’re going to make lots of decisions for her new house!!
What do you have planned?
