Friday we got a win over a team that beat us by 20 the last time we played them. It was so fun to watch the girls go out there and do the things we had practiced to get that dub.
Gram has been in Winston helping mom with some little house projects for a few days so Mom, Dad and Gram made the trip to come watch the game Friday night. {Bonus… they brought me birthday presents.}

After two games and a Zaxby’s stop, we headed up the mountain to Blowing Rock with Katrina and Angelo. David was a little worried about forecasted snow and ice but I was determined we were NOT coming back home. So we pulled in about 10:30 with answered prayers.
Saturday morning was very lazy. Katrina made cinnamon rolls and we laid around until it was time to meet Scott and Sarah for lunch.
This was Blowing Rock’s Winter Fest Weekend so it was ridiculously crowded and we had to wait a while for lunch. We did a little bit of shopping while we were waiting for our table and then took the party back to the house.
That evening we ate spaghetti, enjoyed vino and played a few games. We kept our boys vs. girls tradition going and we kicked butt.
Sunday morning we made a big breakfast before packing up to leave around lunch time.
It was such a perfect weekend. David and I have been going up to this incredible house for a few years and we really enjoy it when friends can join us too. Everything’s better with those you love, right? We’re so thankful for weekends away with friends.
Once we got back home, David and I decided we weren’t ready to face reality to we hit up Chipotle and played Trivia Crack.
Because that’s the responsible thing to do, right?
