Haha, for real, though. This weekend, I’m excited for some time with David. Last weekend was so much fun but a piece of me is missing when he isn’t here. {Well, more accurately… he was here, I wasn’t.}
“Do you want to be in a flash mob?” Have you heard those words before? Yeah, me either. Well, not until about 3 weeks ago, anyway. When Erin asked me I was all hesitant at first. {I don’t really dance unless there’s wine in my hand. I mean, I like to dance I’m just not good at it.} Erin put it together for our homecoming festival last Friday and I {reluctantly} agreed to participate. I’m so glad I did because it was a blast! She taught me the dance Friday morning and I was pretty sure I had forgotten it by Friday afternoon… but I went out there anyway. I love interacting with students outside of the classroom… it just makes it all worth it. I’m pretty sure {…and by that I mean 100% positive…} that I was a half beat behind but I’m also pretty sure that I’ve never loved a Taylor Swift song more than I do right now. Everytime it comes on the radio, I’m rockin’ out to it.

After an adventurous afternoon of a flash mob, what better thing to do than head to Greenville to see your family? Nothing I can think of. Kenzie had a game Friday and Saturday both; my parents and grandparents made the trip for the weekend too. It was a ton of fun. Kaitlyn and I did tons of projects and I also met Kenzie’s boyfriend that I didn’t even know she had.

As great as weekends are, there’s nothing like coming home. David stayed here for the weekend so I was really looking forward to seeing him. I’m a terrible phone talker so we mostly texted and snapchatted while I was gone and then we really got the chance to catch up once I got back home. Coppy was kinda nuts too.

Basketball season is right around the corner. Amber and I went out to dinner Tuesday night. We talked about our vision for the season and nailed down some specifics. I’m ready to get back in the swing of things! We have a bunch of new freshmen who will play a big role on JV and some returners for varsity.

Remember that 5k I’m supposed to be preparing for? {You can read about my goal here.} Yeah, well… I haven’t done any running. And I’m so not a runner to begin with. So David and I finally ran last night. I probably ran a half of a mile and I thought I was going to die. But, you know what? I did it. So, if any of you are runners… I need some help/motivation/tips in the comments. And local friends… anyone want to run on November 8th? Here’s the link.

What do you have planned for the weekend?
On Fridays, I usually linkup with Lauren Elizabeth for high five for Friday.
Today, I’m also linking up with The Farmer’s Wife and September Farm for Oh hey Friday!
Live it up this weekend!
